The keeper of NoobSociety

Emmanuel-Jelome Fonseca

Front-end engineer & consultant — over a decade building user-friendly web applications for German product teams. Lately: a small society of software — a live game-world portfolio, the design system that styles it, and the human-AI workflows that keep all of it honest.

Hello

I’m Jelome — a self-taught programmer with a B.Sc. in Information Technology from the Philippines and a graphic-design habit that never went away. Since 2014 I’ve worked for German software companies: maintaining a desktop ERP at SACO, leading a greenfield transaction-monitoring team at Tradebyte, building customer-facing product at Cobalt Labs, and — today — front-end work across multiple teams at infraView.

In 2026 I started building NoobSociety: a portfolio that is also a place. The premise is simple and a little absurd — pages are maps, characters are cursors, links are things you walk up to. Making that premise trustworthy turned out to be the interesting part: it grew a design system, a verification doctrine, agent harnesses, and a documentation corpus where every claim has exactly one owner. This page is the quiet version — walkable by scrollbar.

A small society of software

NoobSociety is a family of products under one brand, one design system, and one discipline. Everything below is designed, built, documented, and released by one person — me — working with AI agents inside harnesses I build myself. Statuses mean what they say:

publicly reachable today
Released · private
versioned, exact releases; private source
Working · private
real, working software; local-only so far

NoobSociety

Live

A browser game that is also my portfolio: an isometric world where each résumé section is a board or object a visitor walks up to — plus a WebGL-free reading view for everyone else. For people who’d rather discover a portfolio than read one; recruiters get the reading path.

The hard rule is that play never gates content: every board keeps an accessible, keyboard-first, reduced-motion-safe path. A documentation corpus gives every claim one owning file, and quality gates covering assets, naming, source-size ratchets, coverage, and docs integrity. The résumé it currently exhibits is a clearly labeled public-domain demo persona while the per-owner data model lands — the world never claims the demo is me.

NS Design

Released · private

The family design system: one generated token source keeps CSS custom properties and canvas-renderer values synchronized — about two hundred custom properties, parity-tested — with React components in meaning-based namespaces and a React-free renderer contract for the game. The interesting constraint: one visual truth serving two incompatible render targets without drift.

Published as exact versions to a private registry and consumed by the live NoobSociety site. Targets WCAG 2.2 AA, audited at multiple viewports including forced-colors mode.

NS Play

Working · private

The next NoobSociety, rebuilt as an authoritative multiplayer browser game: a TypeScript monorepo with bounded contexts for game, store, and website. Determinism is enforced by lint — no ambient clocks or randomness in the movement kernels — because client prediction and server authority must compute identical state. Store purchases reach the game only through signed, replay-safe contracts.

The test suite covers the buy-to-grant flow end to end. Not publicly playable yet — and its own documentation is blunt about exactly what is and isn’t true.

NS Collab

Working · private

A framework for structured multi-agent AI collaboration: a pure engine that owns the collaboration lifecycle, typed ports for storage and bounded agent turns, file-backed revisioned state, and a moderator console for the human in the loop. An uncertain agent turn is parked for the human — never auto-replayed.

TypeScript · hexagonal architecture · lint-enforced purity

NS Brief

Working · private

A local workspace that composes structured, role-routed prompts for AI coding agents — then executes them against local CLIs with streamed output. Loopback-only by design: origin-checked, allowlisted, prompts over stdin, failing closed. Audited against WCAG 2.2 A/AA across six viewport and contrast scenarios.

What connects the work

How the society is governed

  1. Truth has one owner.

Every project keeps a documentation corpus where each concern belongs to exactly one file, machine-checked. A doc that drifts from the code is a defect, not a footnote.

  2. Claims are executable.

Quality gates ship their own tests, and linters are proven with fixtures that must fail — a green run over only conforming files is not evidence. “Exists” and “verified” are different words.

  3. Ship small, dated, honest.

Work lands as frequent, dated releases; the unreleased section stays empty. Statuses say “private,” “local-only,” or “not built” out loud — a reserved domain name is not a deployment.

  4. The accessible path is the main path.

Reading views, keyboard-first interaction, reduced motion, and print styles ship with the feature, not after it. Play is an enhancement — never the only door.

Currently exploring

  • NS Frame

Local-first creative AI on a 16 GB laptop: image edits and image-to-video through local models only, behind an allowlisting gateway and a fail-closed safety review that documents its own limits.

  • NS Academy

A trilingual learning experiment: German A1 aligned with Tagalog through an English pivot, built for one concrete learner rather than a market. The scheduler explains itself — the same pure function that decides also explains. It remains an explicitly bounded hypothesis.
